Broad and Deep Digital Marketing Conference

Pros: Great content, great city, commitment to diversity

Cons: One speaker track, crowd bottlenecks

My second year at MozCon and although it wasn't as perfect as it was last year, it was still excellent. Food, organization, information, planning, all of that part of the experience is always great. The after hours events are also great. Seattle is a great city and they do a good job of getting everyone out and about. The one-track model has pretty significant benefits and drawbacks. In a room of a few thousand people, it's very likely that you'll get exposed to interesting content that is outside of your expertise. On the other hand, at least this year, there were a few speakers who seemed to be addressing such a niche experience (maybe I'm wrong about this), that it's hard to get much value from it. The regular speakers were awesome, as always. There were a few others that were not as good as I expected based on previous years, but overall it's a wonderful event and I will continue to go back!

What would you like to see repeated in a future event? after hours events, Will Reynolds, commitment to diversity

Already Bought My Ticket for Next Year

It was my first time at MozCon and I could not have been more impressed. The speakers were knowledgable, accomplished, inspiring, and DIVERSE. The attendees were positive, engaged and mostly down to earth (it's still a marketing conference). The single-track format has pros and cons in general, but I found the approach really effective because as much as it is about SEO, SEO doesn't happen in a vacuum any more, so giving everyone access to information, strategies and ideas across other areas of marketing is incredibly valuable. Food: Great Extra curricular events: Great Networking: Good (tough for solo flyers like myself) Event app: Good Swag: Great Venue: Great
